George Waite

American, 1935 - 1994


George Waite was a Chicago artist that exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. He was featured in the 1962 exhibition, "12 Chicago Artists", at the McCormick Place Art Gallery and also in the 1983 “Chicago Artists, Continuity and Change” exhibition at the 4th Chicago International Art Exposition. Posthumously, Waite’s artwork was exhibited in the "I Read It For the Art: Chicago, Creativity, and Playboy" exhibition at the Hyde Park Art Center in 2004. Waite died in 1994 at the age of 59.
